Adequate pain management is universal requirement in health care. Despite of recent advancements, the adverse physiological and psychological effect of unmanaged pain remain unresolved. Ineffective pain management can lead to a marked decrease in desirable clinical and psychological outcomes and patients’ overall quality of life. Hence, Effective management of pain improved patient outcomes and increased patient satisfaction. The treatment of pain is guided by the history of the pain, its intensity, duration, aggravating and relieving conditions, and structures involved in causing the pain.
